PONTIAC — A 26-year-old Bloomington woman died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Livingston County.

Taylor Perring Bates, formerly of Chatsworth, was pronounced dead at 7:06 p.m. at the scene of a head-on collision about one-eighth of a mile west of Livingston County Road 3000 East on U.S. 24 near Forrest, said Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson.

Watson said Perring Bates' car collided with a minivan, but further details of the crash were not available.

The occupants of the minivan were transported from the scene by ambulance, Watson said. Their names and condition were not known.

An autopsy for Perring Bates has been scheduled for Thursday.

Assisting at the scene were SELCAS Ambulance, Forrest Strawn Wing Fire and Rescue, Livingston County sheriff’s police, Illinois State Police, the Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit and the Livingston County coroner’s office.
