BLOOMINGTON — Janet Gorman and Joyce Hughes, the Ford twins from McLean, both of Bloomington, will each celebrate their 90th birthday with a family dinner and card shower.
They were born Dec. 31, 1928, in Bloomington.
Janet married John Gorman on Nov. 24, 1951. He passed away Sept. 30, 2004.
Joyce married Oran Lahr, and they divorced. She then married John Hughes. He has passed away.
Janet’s children are Debbie (Jim) Chapman, Conover, N.C.; Kelly (Mary) Gorman, Lexington; Melanie (Jim) VanHook, Dorsey; and Tami (Dave) Mulvaney, Normal. She has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Joyce’s children are Mike Lahr, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Vicki (Mike) Kober, Bloomington; Steve Lahr, deceased; Jeff (Kathy) Lahr, Bloomington; Scott Hughes, Bloomington; and Dana Hughes, deceased. She has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Janet retired from State Farm. She enjoys bingo, jigsaw puzzles and reading, and is in Golden Notes Choir and is a hospitality leader at Westminster Village.
Joyce retired from Illinois State University. She is a big Chicago Bulls fan and enjoys watching NBA games on TV.
