BLOOMINGTON — Two businesses a little more than a mile apart in southeastern Bloomington were robbed at gunpoint within a few minutes of each other Wednesday night, police said.

On Wednesday, robberies were reported at 9:29 p.m. at Little Caesars Pizza, 2507 E. Oakland Ave., and 9:37 p.m. at CVS Pharmacy, 1130 S. Veterans Parkway, police said. A handgun was displayed in each case, police said, but whether the robber fled with money in either case was not disclosed.

Police said they could not confirm whether the robberies were related, but they released the same suspect description for both. Police were seeking a black male with a thin build who was 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a black hoodie, a partial face mask and dark-colored or black pants.

Police said it was unclear how the robber fled the scene in each case.

If you have information in either case, call Bloomington police at 309-820-8888. If you wish to remain anonymous, call McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111. If your call leads to the arrest and indictment of suspect(s) you may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
