BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington police are investigating a Tuesday morning armed robbery at a hotel in the 900 block of Maple Hill Road.

Police said officers were told that a man entered a hotel holding a gun about 2 a.m., demanded money from an employee, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as between 20 and 29 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing all black.

There were no injuries reported, police said.

Two hotels are located on that block. Police declined to specify which hotel was robbed.

Davion Gee-Thomas, 20, of Bloomington was being held in the McLean County jail on Friday in lieu of $50,000 on a charge of armed robbery. A retail store in the 2220 block of West Market Street in Bloomington was robbed Sept. 15.
