BLOOMINGTON — Police are continuing to investigate a shooting Sunday night that left a man injured.

Bloomington police located a 27-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound in the buttocks. They had responded to a report of a person being shot about 9:54 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Rainbow Avenue. No other injuries were reported, police said.

The man was taken to OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment. Police described the injuries but did not say whether the victim was admitted to the hospital.

Police did not indicate whether the shooting occurred on Rainbow or elsewhere.
