BLOOMINGTON -- A Saturday night shooting on Bloomington's east side remains under investigation by Bloomington Police.

On Sunday, Bloomington Police confirmed a man was injured, but did not release his name or condition. No arrests have been made.

Shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, police received a report of shots fired near the intersection of Mulberry and Evans streets. Police taped off the intersection as a crime scene and blocked off Evans between Locust and Chestnut streets.

Broken glass was visible in the Mulberry-Evans intersection, which was reopened by 10:40 p.m. Police had reopened Evans between Locust and Chestnut by 11 p.m.

A police investigator on the scene said a man went to Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. A spokesperson at BroMenn could not confirm if a patient was being treated for such a wound.
