BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of a stabbing death Saturday afternoon.
Around 1:03 p.m., BPD was notified of a person who arrived at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center with a stab wound to the chest.
The person was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
"Numerous person(s) have, and are still being interviewed," BPD said in a statement.
No other information about the victim was released Saturday night.
Police think the death may have stemmed from an incident that occurred on 23rd Street in the Cardinal Ridge mobile home park in Bloomington. The Criminal Investigations Division was called to assist. The incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no threat to the public, said police.
BPD and the McLean County Coroner's Office continue to investigate.
