CHATSWORTH — A 52-year-old Forrest man has been identified as the driver whose body was found Monday in a burned-out car north of Chatsworth.
Michael J. Brauman was found about 10 a.m. inside the car that was impaled on a guard rail at Livingston County roads 3225 East and 1000 North, said Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson. The car apparently burned overnight and was found by a passerby.
Dental and surgical records had to be used for identification because of the condition of the body, Watson said.
Chatsworth fire and emergency medical services, Southeast Livingston County Ambulance Service (SELCAS) and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office also were on scene Monday.
No further information, including what led to the crash, was available Wednesday.
