Four Central Illinois men arrested after drug bust in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — Four men were arrested in Bloomington with gun and drug charges on Monday.

Bloomington Police Department’s special weapons and tactics team and vice unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1300 block of North Hershey Road.

They seized 5¼ pounds of cannabis, more than ¼ pound of crack cocaine and powder cocaine, 14 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of heroin, evidence related to drug sales, an undisclosed amount of cash and four handguns, including one stolen gun, according to a news release from the department.

Jerail M. Myrick, 24, was arrested Monday and formally charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of 100-400 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 15-100 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 5-15 grams of meth with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 1-15 grams of heroin with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver; and unlawful delivery of less than 1 gram of cocaine.

Myrick, who was listed as a homeless Bloomington resident in court documents, was jailed in lieu of posting $15,035.

Javares L. Hudson, 19, of the 1500 block of Woods Avenue in Normal, is charged with unlawful delivery of less than 1 gram of cocaine in Bloomington.

He was jailed in lieu of posting $4,035.

Derrick D. Bailey, 18, of Springfield is charged with unlawful possession of 100-400 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 15-100 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 5-15 grams of meth with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 1-15 grams of heroin with the intent to deliver; unlawful possession of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver; and unlawful possession of 1-15 grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver.

He was jailed in lieu of posting $75,035.

A 20-year-old Bloomington man was also arrested with preliminary charges of delivery of cannabis and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond information and charges were not available Tuesday afternoon.

The Pantagraph does not name suspects before they are formally charged.
