LINCOLN — A Lincoln man faces two counts of drug-induced homicide in connection with the death of a Lincoln man two months ago.

Deandre Rogers, 30, remains in Logan County jail in lieu of posting $50,000 bond. Court documents indicate that when Lincoln police investigated the May 19 death of John Beck at the Tremont Trailer Park, they believed he died as a result of an overdose, most likely heroin laced with Fentanyl.

Prosecutors were able to obtain a warrant for the Class X felonies after toxicology confirmed heroin and Fentanyl resulted in Beck’s death.

Rogers was arrested July 16.

“Through a thorough investigation that led to evidence and witness statements, our investigators were able to determine that Deandre Rogers was the person who supplied the deceased with the drugs,” said Lincoln Police Chief Paul Adams.

Rogers is due for an arraignment on the charges on July 31.
