BLOOMINGTON — A Bloomington man and a teenager were arrested Friday on charges related to an armed robbery on South Main Street.

Bloomington police officers were dispatched about 11:40 a.m. to the 600 block of South Main Street for a report that a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were robbed by two suspects who fled on foot, police said.

Officers tracked the suspects to a residence in the 200 block of East Wood Street, police said, and the suspects left the residence voluntarily and were arrested without incident.

No one was injured during the incident.

The 20-year-old man was arrested on preliminary charges of armed robbery, aggravated battery and mob action, and the teenager was arrested on preliminary charges of armed robbery and mob action. T

The Pantagraph does not identify adult suspects in such cases until formal charges are filed, and it does not identify suspects facing charges as juveniles.
