Weapons, drugs, DUI — A 38-year-old man remains in McLean County jail, facing multiple charges for weapons, drugs and driving under the influence.

According to court documents, George Harris was stopped for an alleged traffic violation just before 1 a.m. Sunday near Market Street and Western Avenue by Bloomington police. Prosecutors said Harris had a strong odor of alcohol and refused to perform any field sobriety tests. Following his arrest, officers located a bag containing an off-white powdery substance which later tested positive for cocaine, police said.

Also located in the vehicle was more than $850 in cash and a digital scale with a white powdery substance, which also tested positive for cocaine, prosecutors said. A syringe with a substance that tested positive for heroin was also found, they added.

Police also discovered a Taurus “The Judge” revolver with 10 live rounds of ammunition. Police said he did not have a valid FOID card. He must post $10,035 for his release. He is due in court for arraignment on Sept. 13.
