Secor man jailed after drugs found
SECOR — A 39-year old Secor man was arrested on drug charges after agents with the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group and the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department searched his home in Secor.
Agents said they seized 42 grams of cocaine, 230 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and $2,377 cash in Monday’s search.
The man was jailed Tuesday at the Woodford County jail in Eureka, and formal charges are expected to be filed today.
Officials estimate the street value of the drugs seized at $6,000.
Vandalism — Illinois State University’s Horton Field House staff members have found several sites within the building vandalized Saturday, Sunday and Monday, according to ISU police.
About 6:30 p.m. Saturday, ISU police were called when staff noticed a gym equipment room floor had been damaged. About 11:10 p.m. Sunday, police were called when damage to a set of doors and a dry erase board in the south gym was found. Shortly after noon Monday, a staff member found derogatory words written in permanent marker on the high-jump mat.
