Armed robbery — A Normal man is charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Anthony Childs, 24, of the 1200 block of Wall Street, is accused of taking money from two victims on Dec. 8. He was armed with a bat during one alleged robbery and threatened force against the second man, according to charges. He was jailed in lieu of posting $25,025.
Marijuana — Drug and weapons charges are pending against a Bloomington man.
Adam House, 23, of the 1700 block of Springfield Road, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver the drug, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm. A search by police of House's residence turned up more than 2 pounds of marijuana, packaging materials, a handgun and $2,100 cash, according to a prosecutor's statement. House does not have a valid firearm owner's identification card.
He was jailed in lieu of posting $10,025.
Sexual assault — Felony sexual assault charges are pending against a 36-year-old man.
Robert Strawser, of the 300 block of Victoria Drive, Normal, is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault. He is accused of assaulting a minor between October 2007 and October 2008. He was jailed in lieu of posting $50,025.
Cocaine — A Bloomington man was sentenced to 11 years in prison on drug charges.
Octavius Johnson, of the 200 block of Packard Street, pleaded guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to a concurrent 11 years on additional drug counts. Johnson was given credit for 450 days served in jail.
