Shots fired at party near ISU early Saturday


NORMAL — Gunfire was reported just after midnight at a party near Illinois State University. No one was injured and no arrests have been made.

About 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Normal police responded to the Woodridge Apartments at 700 N. Adelaide where they found a large party, but no reported injuries.

No suspect information was provided, but shell casings were later found in the area.

Normal police believe this was an isolated incident.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to call the Normal Police Department at 309-454-9535 or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-888-1111.
