NORMAL — Police continue to investigate what happened when a teenage boy was found stabbed in the back Saturday afternoon in Anderson Park in Normal.
Normal police were called to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. and found the boy near the playground in the east side park. The youth's wounds did not appear life-threatening, said NPD.
Officers said the boy was speaking to paramedics as he was being loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital, but there was no other information on his condition Saturday evening.
Police at the scene were using flashlights to look for unspecified items and said they had a description of a vehicle that left the scene.
