BLOOMINGTON — A boy was struck by a bullet Thursday night during an incident in the 1900 block of Peach Street.
The victim, a juvenile, told authorities he was hit while walking home in the neighborhood. He was treated at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, and released.
Bloomington police were contacted at 10:50 p.m. about a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they found damage to an apartment complex and other evidence of a shooting in a parking lot in the 1900 block, according to a statement issued Friday morning.
