Stuff the Bus tops 6K items

BLOOMINGTON — Children's Home & Aid reported this week that the agency received 6,148 children's items — including clothes, blankets, diapers and baby wipes — during the 16th annual Stuff the Bus campaign.

That's more than the 4,778 items received last year but less than the 6,362 items received in 2016.

The children's items — along with the $6,026 in cash, gift cards and sponsorships — will support children age 6 and younger admitted to the Children's Home & Aid Crisis Nursery. Donations were made by shoppers at a Connect Transit bus parked outside three stores last week and were delivered to the agency on Monday.
