Clinton nuclear plant back to full power
CLINTON — Operators returned Clinton Power Station to full power operation Wednesday following repairs to a valve in the nuclear plant’s containment building.
The unit was removed from service on Jan. 21 and was placed in service again on Sunday.
The plant, which is about 6 miles east of Clinton, produces 1,078 megawatts at full power — enough electricity to power about 1 million typical homes.
