Public forum on kids set May 1
NORMAL — A public forum about ensuring that school children are prepared to learn will be hosted by the Women to Women Giving Circle from 4:30 to 6 p.m. May 1 at the Illinois State University Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main St.
The giving circle, an arm of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, sponsors an annual, free spring forum.
Panelists will be Karen Bruning of Heartland Head Start, Danel Harr of Sarah Raymond School of Early Education, Ginger Payne of Tri-County Special Education Association, Kris Pennington of Unit 5 and Dianne Schultz of The Baby Fold. ISU students will present results of recent research and a question and answer session will follow.
