BLOOMINGTON —  The dense fog that hung over the Twin City area and parts of Woodford and Tazewell counties is lifting with the sun breaking through arrival and warmer temperatures.

The Lincoln-based National Weather Service said heavy fog was reported along the Interstate 74 corridor from Galesburg to Bloomington-Normal, reducing visibility to a quarter-mile at 7 a.m.

NWS added the conditions "may produce hazardous driving conditions," including slick roads in some areas.

Area police said they'd received no reports of not fog-related accidents.
