EL PASO — The El Paso-Gridley school district is asking the public to be part of the plan.

The district is hosting open house forums to get community input as part of its ongoing facilities master planning process.

After completing the initial site and safety work, the school district is moving forward with major classroom renovations and additions, said Superintendent Mike Lindy.

The Options Forum Open House, the third and final community meeting in the process, will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 from at the high school, 600 N. Elm St., El Paso.

The format is designed so community members can attend at any time during the two-hour program.

Community members will learn the history of district planning efforts, including the planning work completed in 2011, and the steps taken thus far to meet those needs. The top scenarios developed to meet future needs will be outlined, and questions answered about different scenarios.

After considering the choices, community members will be asked to share their thoughts and suggestions for improvements with school district representatives, and suggest their preferred plan.
