MINONK — The Fieldcrest school board has approved a tentative, $12.9 million budget that is balanced with about $35,000 to spare.
The budget, which projects $12,911,925 in income and $12,876,787 in spending, is expected to be approved Sept. 26.
The budget will be adjusted after the state provides more information on its funding, said Superintendent Josh Olsen. The state still is about three months behind on payments.
Olsen will meet next week with The Farnsworth Group, which recently was chosen to be the district’s architect after a two-month search.
