More than 1,000 students from Tri-Valley and several other districts attended the full-day event. Students visited more than a dozen interactive learning stations, listened to music, watched a ladies’ style show, and heard speeches by Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis and Frederick Douglass.

In all, more than 100 re-enactors demonstrated different aspects of life during the war in such areas as surgery, food, music and fashion.
