STREATOR — The Streator High School Board will wait at least two months before making a decision on a new or renovated auditorium.
The auditorium was exempt from the large-scale renovation a few years ago that was the subject of preservation litigation. The auditorium is no longer safe nor meets Americans With Disabilities guidelines, board members have been told.
The $6.6 million estimated cost of rebuilding would partially use state funding and rewriting of bonds.
