CoreLife Eatery, 115 S. Veterans Parkway, Normal, opened to the public June 7. The eatery began in Syracuse, N.Y. in 2015 and features healthy, nutritious food without GMOs, high-fructose corn syrup and artificial colors or flavors. Its menu includes greens bowls; grains bowls, broth bowls, warm rice bowls and plates. These photos were taken as the eatery prepared to open.

CoreLife Eatery will open its third Central Illinois location Thursday in Normal. The restaurant, focused on healthy eating and healthy living, also has locations in Peoria and Champaign. The Twin City location will be the 35th CoreLife Eatery.
Second of three
The eatery is located at the site of the former Wild Berries restaurant along Veterans Parkway in Normal, and will be one of three businesses there. Another, The Original Pancake House, opened in February. The third tenant has not been announced.
The restaurant has seating for 95, including community tables in the center.
Fresh, fresh and fresh
Meals feature an array of fresh options and diners are always free to substitute and change items as they please. "Our whole entire menu is a suggestion," said Deanna Hubal, a corporate trainer for the marketing team, based in New York.

CoreLife Eatery does not sell any sodas, only fresh-made juices, teas and coffee. One of its most popular offerings is a beet lemonade, pictured far left.
The Summer Berry Quinoa Bowl includes fresh berries and pineapple, quinoa and flax seed, and antibiotic-free chicken, served with Greek yogurt blueberry dressing. It has 390 calories. It is pictured with beet lemonade, which has 130 calories.

Offerings include 10 different made-from-scratch dressings, including Thai Cashew, Lime Cilantro Jalapeno Vinaigrette and Miso Sesame Ginger.
The restaurant includes a patio with outdoor seating.
Julie Bliss, local store marketer in Champaign; Allie Hoepker, local store marketer for Normal; and Deanna Hubal, corporate trainer for the marketing team, based in New York; are among those working to ready the new CoreLife Eatery for its opening.
The chain encourages feedback and participation from its employees.
The CoreLife Eatery will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. The restaurant has an app that provides an easy way to order and pay online. Future community events include yoga classes, CrossFit events and public lectures.
