PONTIAC — A Dwight man has died after he was injured in an April 13 forklift accident.
Daniel W. Lydigsen, 52, died at 9:25 a.m. Monday at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. His autopsy was Tuesday afternoon, but a final cause of death will not be determined until all medical records are examined, said Peoria County Johnna Ingersoll.
Pontiac police said Lydigsen apparently stepped in front of a forklift at Futures Unlimited, Pontiac. An employee of Midwest Fiber, who was driving toward his truck in the east driveway, said he didn’t see Lydigsen, police said.
Investigators concluded the incident was an accident.
Lydigsen was transferred to the Peoria hospital from OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.
