McDonald's reopens after gas line break

Workers for Nicor repair a gas line that was cut during fiber optic cable installation around noon Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Main Street and Hovey Avenue in Normal. The gas outage partially closed the McDonald's at 804 S. Main St. because their grill could not be operated. Repair crews fixed the problem and a manager reported the restaurant reopened Tuesday afternoon and is operating normally.

NORMAL — The McDonald’s restaurant at 804 S. Main St., near the Illinois State University campus in in Normal, is open again with a full menu after being partially closed following a natural gas incident earlier on Tuesday.
