LEXINGTON - Allen D. Jones, 49, of 20183 P.J. Keller Highway, Lexington, died at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday (May 29, 2007) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Family members will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, both at the memorial home.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of his wife Donna.
He was born June 13, 1957, at Pontiac, son of Albert and Patricia Weber Jones Jr. He married Donna L. Fry on May 30, 1998, at Colfax. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Patricia Jones, Pontiac; two stepdaughters, Dionna (Dan) Christian, Downs, and Denise (Erich) Thompson, Glasford; two stepsons, Philip Earl, Lexington, and Danny Earl, Colfax; two brothers, Stephen (Walterene) Jones, LaPorte, Texas, and Brian Jones, Pontiac; one sister, Cindy (Mike) Jones Neaveill, Pontiac; six stepgrandchildren, Joshua and Aubrey Thompson, Glasford; Kayla and Piper Christian, Downs; Price Earl, Lexington; and one stepgrandchild on the way. Also surviving are five nieces and nephews, Jessica Jones, LaPorte, Texas; and John Rich, Phillip Rich, Devin Jones and Charles Neaveill, all of Pontiac; and one great-niece also survives.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Allen was a self-employed floor installer and painter. He had formerly worked at GATX, Bloomington, for 10 years. He was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted son, husband, dad, brother and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
