She was born July 15, 1913, at Beason, the daughter of William and Hilda Stoline Johnson. She married Dean Hubbard on March 24, 1936, in Logan County. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1970.

Marie sold the farm and moved to Lincoln in the spring of 1971. She later, 1997, moved to Hudson to be near her daughter and family. She was still actively working in her yard last summer.

She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
