BLOOMINGTON — Arthur “Art” Agnew, 52, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Bloomington and Glen Ellyn, passed away suddenly on Saturday (Dec. 27, 2014) in Naples, Fla.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1962, in Chicago, to A. Vincent “Vince” and the late Katherine "Katie" Agnew.
Art is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Agnew (mother, Beth Agnew), his sisters, Kathleen (Lee) Pucker and Julie Agnew, his brothers, John and Michael (Patricia) Agnew, his nieces and nephews, Duncan and Laurel Pucker and Raymond and Veronica Agnew, and his fiancé, Theresa Malinosky, and her daughters, Jena and Emily.
He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Matthew, earlier this year.
Art was a passionate White Sox and Blackhawks fan and, until recently, a loyal Bears fan. He was a graduate of Glenbard South High School, class of 1980. A devoted father and a larger-than-life presence, Art lit up any room he entered. His bright smile, hearty laugh and quick wit will forever be missed by the many who loved him.
Visitation and a celebration of Art’s life will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. James the Apostle Church, 480 S Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.
