STREATOR - Arthur J. Loebach, 90, of Streator, formerly of Leonore died at 9:15 a.m. Friday (Jan. 27, 2006) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, where he had been a patient for three weeks following an extended illness.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Leonore, with the Rev. Charles McCarthy officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home, Lostant. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. before the service Monday. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Leonore.

He was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Canada, the son of Charles and Catherine (Sondergrath) Loebach. He married Irene Dutko on Feb. 8, 1945, at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Leonore, the Streator Knights of Columbus No. 790, secretary of the National Farmers Organization, a director of the Leonore Phone Co., and he sang in the church choir for 35 years. He also played semi-pro baseball for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Loebach, Streator; three sons, Arthur Loebach, Fairfield; Anthony (Mary Beth) Loebach, Bloomington; and Thomas (Sylvia) Loebach, Sunnyvale, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara (Richard) Hass and Ruth (Dominique) Blachon, both of Seattle; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Charles (Eleanor) Loebach, Granville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
