HEYWORTH - John Lee, 78, Heyworth, passed away Monday (July 13, 2009) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth. Burial will follow in Randolph Township Cemetery, Heyworth. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

John was born Dec. 6, 1930, in DeWitt, son of John and Nora Reynolds Lee. He later married Thelma Faye Geske on Oct. 31, 1953, in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 1996.
Surviving are one daughter, Carla (Lee) Holt, and one son, Randy Lee, both of Heyworth; four sisters, Maymie Deiter, Thelma VanWinkle and Ella (Gene) Ferguson, all of Heyworth; and Helen (Dean) Kinsell, Normal; and five grandchildren, Tammy Lee, Nathan Holt, Lindsay Holt, Brandi Lee and Dallas Lee.
John was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a lifetime farmer in rural Heyworth. He belonged to the VFW in Bloomington as well as the American Legion Post 624 in Heyworth.
John was a loving father, brother, grandfather and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
