BLOOMINGTON — Robert W. Perschall, 68, Gilbertsville, Ky., and formerly of Bloomington, died at 5:12 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 26, 2010) at his home.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Bob Knapp officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. The family suggest memorials be made to “DADS” (Dollars Against Diabetes), Hollywood, Fla., or to Boy Scout Troop 84, Siloam Springs, Ark.
Bob was born Dec. 10, 1942, in Bloomington, the son of Theodore E. and Ruth L. Nance Perschall. He married Patsy M. Darrough on Dec. 2, 1964, in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tina (Darrin) Coon, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Bobbi (Christopher) Mason, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren, David, Daniel, Jonathon, Matthew, Michael, Christine, Ruth and Emily; one brother, Theodore E. (Paula) Perschall, Leslie, Ark.; and one sister, Ruthann (Ron) Jacobs, Kankakee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Jacqueline McIntosh and Nancy Ragusa.
Bob was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Union Local 63, Moose Lodge and VFW Men’s Auxiliary, all of Bloomington. Bob enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
