BLOOMINGTON — Marjorie M. Dahl, 91, Bloomington, died at 11:19 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 20, 2010) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Lewis D. Fox officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
She was born May 6, 1918, at Fieldon, daughter of Mark J. and Alma M. Cope Welch. She married Rolland E. “Jack” Dahl on Oct. 15, 1938, at Burlington, Iowa. He died June 16, 1988.
Surviving are a son, Roger N. (Sandy) Dahl, Bloomington; three granddaughters, Angela (Drew) LaMere, Danville, Ky.; Kim Swarts, Decatur; and Stacey (David) Vandegraft, Bloomington; three great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
She worked for Kazar & Freese Insurance Agency for 31 years, retiring May 6, 1983.
She was a life member of VFW Post 454 Auxiliary; and a 75-year member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Marge enjoyed sewing and traveling.
