NORMAL — Belva June Bailey, 74, of Normal, passed away at 11:42 a.m. Monday (Jan. 12, 2015) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Belva was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Mount Vernon, to Carroll E. and Katherine M. Harrison Morris. They preceded her in death. She also was preceded by one grandson, Matthew Bailey, and two brothers, Roger and Richard Morris.
She is survived by eight children, Rick (Toni) Bailey and Roy (Shannon Wisecup) Bailey, all of Bloomington; Regina Campbell, Heyworth; Robin (Jim) Vandegraft, Colfax; Randy Bailey, Greenville; Raven Bailey, Rebecca (Jim) Hicks and Roxann Young, all of Mount Vernon; 25 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Donna McGee, Lincoln; one brother, Larry Morris, Bloomington; and a very special aunt, Phyllis Bradford.
Belva attended Faith Fellowship Church in Heyworth. She loved staying home and raising her children and spending time with her family. In her spare time, she loved crocheting and reading.
