BLOOMINGTON — Dr. Bradley Robert Gramm, 53, Bloomington, passed away at 3:55 p.m. Thursday (April 28, 2011) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Church Christian of Bloomington-Normal in Normal. Ministers of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal, Normal, and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
He was born Oct. 24, 1957, in Bloomington, the son of Robert and Nola Schmidgall Gramm. He married LuAnn Richardson on May 20, 1989, in Scottsdale, Ariz. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Nola (Mel) Gramm Schrock, Normal; three children, Alec, Ashlyn and Reid Gramm, at home; two sisters, Barb (Mike) Prevo, Gridley, and Jackie (Jeff) Leman, South Jordan, Utah. He is preceded in death by his father and brother Jeff.
Brad was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal. He graduated from Gridley High School in 1975. He received his bachelor of science degree in agricultural marketing in 1979, and his doctor of veterinary medicine in 1983 from the University of Illinois, Urbana. After graduating, Brad began his private practice in Lexington. He later pursued corporate veterinary medicine through technical support and marketing for Parker Livestock Supply, Pfizer Animal Health, and most recently, Phibro Animal Health.
Brad fought his battle with cancer courageously, all for the love of his family. His gentle spirit and warm smile shined through even until his last days. Brad’s life was an example of a man who walked with Christ every day and he will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, all donations will be placed in the children’s college fund to honor Brad’s memory.
