C.B. Frevert of Knoxville, Tenn., died Dec. 16, 2017, at Bayfront Health, Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Normal, to parents Cyril A. and Allie B. Frevert. For many years, C.B's friend Eric Magneson helped him to enjoy life, including many recent trips.
C.B. was a graduate of and received his bachelor's from Illinois Wesleyan University and master's from Northwestern University with degrees in music. He taught school at Earlville after graduation and greatly enjoyed the organ for many years, playing for churches in the Bloomington and Normal area.

He lived on the family farm in Stanford for many years, later in Bloomington, and more recently in Tennessee, overwintering in Port Charlotte, Fla. His family came from Kentucky in 1839 to Illinois.
C.B. requested no visitation and other services in Illinois. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Stanford. His friend Eric has organized a Mass of Resurrection at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Fort Myers, Fla., on Jan. 13.
