Carlene Frances Fillmore, 87, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formerly of Bloomington, passed away Saturday (Feb. 3, 2018) at Broadmore Senior Living, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Margratha Winkelmann Short; her first husband, Harry J. Meredith; her second husband, Truman D. Fillmore; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Surviving are her children, Cynthia Prescher, and husband, Richard, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Steven Meredith, and wife, Debbie, Meridian, Idaho; two stepsons, Douglas Fillmore, and wife, Jane, and Leland Fillmore and wife, Patricia, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild; four sisters, Marlyn Gore, Judith Brady and Donna Fojtik, Bloomington, and Beverly Puckett, Washington.
Carlene was a graduate of Bloomington High School and attended Brokaw Hospital School of Nursing in Illinois. In Illinois, she was a longtime member of East White Oak Bible Church, Carlock. In Tennessee, she attended First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro.
Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be at a later date at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice, East White Oak Bible Church or First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro.
