BLOOMINGTON — Catherine Ann Flanagan Randell of Baraboo, Wis., and formerly of Bloomington, passed away on the morning of Wednesday (April 5, 2017) in Baraboo. Catherine was an incredible warrior and beat all odds, living three years longer than her original diagnosis. She courageously battled cancer with unmatched positivity and determination.
She leaves behind her fiancé and soulmate, Rich Durkee; children, Caitlin Rose and Matthew; father, Hugh Flanagan; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and David Osnowitz; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lynn Flanagan; nephews, Mark (Lindsey), Mitchell, Maxwell and Michael Osnowitz and Lucas Flanagan. Also surviving are her uncle, Mark O. Flanagan; and cousins, so many friends, and her sisterhood of lifelong girlfriends.
She was preceded in death by her amazing and loving mom, Rose Ann; grandparents, Erma and Alfonso Pomante and Mark and Norma Flanagan.
Catherine grew up in Bloomington with a fun and loving family. Catherine resided with her children in Baraboo, Wis., for the past seven years where she was a substitute teacher and a full-time mom. She spent her free time with her children, Rich, and the many friends she cherished.
Catherine requested to be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for late spring. Details will be posted on Catherine's page on caring bridge.org.
