Clara Nell Whitehouse, 94, of Farmer City, passed away 12:14 a.m. Monday (Dec. 18, 2017) at Farmer City Rehab & Health Care Center, Farmer City.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, beginning with the rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City, with Father James P. Henning, OFM, Conv., and Deacon Scott Whitehouse officiating. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City. Memorials may be made to Farmer City Rehab & Health Care Center Activity Fund.
Clara Nell was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Vanderburgh County, Ind., to Nadine Moore and Joseph Daniel Martin. She married Harris Wesley Whitehouse on Oct. 28, 1942, in Clayton County, Mo. He passed away April 6, 1990.

Also preceding in death were four half sisters and three half brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Jack) Kimler, Normal, and Suellen (Martin) Kopp, Farmer City; two sons, Scott (Janet) Whitehouse, Farmer City, and Kevin (Ruth) Whitehouse, Normal; seven grandchildren, Ted Kimler, Normal; Sheri (Michael) Zigmond, Normal; Dena (Josh) Carter, Fisher; Lisa Perkins, Farmer City; Wes (Leslie) Whitehouse, Farmer City; Lindy Whitehouse, Jackson, Tenn.; and Kate Whitehouse, Argenta; and eight great-grandchildren.
Clara Nell especially enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
