BLOOMINGTON — Curtis Allan Johnson, 60, of Simpsonville, S.C., formerly Bloomington, husband of Georgia Ann Johnson, died on Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2014) in Simpsonville, S.C.
Born in Rockford, he was the son of Earl Johnson and Leota Montgomery.
Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Shriners and was a member of United Auto Workers Union. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing golf.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 41 years, are two children, Kristi (Steven) Lowery and Matthew (Melissa) Johnson, and granddaughter, Myla Johnson; stepmother, Gwendolyn Johnson; stepfather, Kenneth Montgomery; sister, Phyllis (Doug) DeGrave; stepbrother, Rodney Sanders; uncle, Les (Carol) Johnson; mother-in-law, Betty Agnew; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
There will be a celebration of his life in Rockford for family and friends to be announced at a later date.
