NORMAL — Dolores P. Epley, 85, Normal, passed away at 5:03 p.m. Saturday (June 8, 2013) at her home.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Allen Steinbeck officiating. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, following service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Advocate BroMenn Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Dolores was born on May 18, 1928, in Bloomington, the daughter of Paul and Dorothy Reum Stielow. She married Dale Epley Sr. on July 2, 1949, in Peoria. He passed away on July 26, 1993.
Surviving are her children, Dale (Beth) Epley Jr., Normal; Debra (Steve) Blust, Normal; and Kimberly (Tim) Evans, Hanna City. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy) Renken, Michael (Heidi) Epley, Mindy (Carlos) Mendoza, Heather Blust, Buffy Bohm, Trace Evans and Tanner Evans; along with 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-grandchild.
Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School and worked for the Illinois Driver Station Facility as a clerk, retiring after 19 years. Dolores was also a member of the VFW Women’s auxiliary.
She is loved and will be missed by all.
