CARLOCK - Earl Francisco, 74, of 207 N. Church St., Carlock, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 28, 2006) at his residence.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carlock Christian Church, with the Rev. Gloria Hernandez officiating. Interment will be in Wintz Cemetery, Carlock. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Otto-Argo-Calvert Memorial Home, Carlock, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Carlock Christian Church or the Carlock Fire Protection District.
He was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Randolph Township, to William Patrick Henry and Hazel Irene Russ Francisco. He married Rose Stephens on Sept. 4, 1955, in Carlock. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Laife (Angie) Francisco, Carlock; one daughter, Stephanie (Brad) Brown, Bloomington; two sisters, Mary (John) Hosler, Decatur, and Joy Allen, Greenwood, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Brittani Francisco, Carlock, and Lane Brown, Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
He was a member of Carlock Christian Church.
He retired from the Pantagraph in October 1992 after 34 years of service. He is a retired assistant fire chief with the Carlock Fire Protection District.-;He was a former director of Zone 7 ESDA.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wine making, gardening and reading. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Earl was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren, Brittani and Lane, were his greatest love.
