BLOOMINGTON - Edna Mae Smith, 92, of 224 Ave. E, Hilltop Mobile Homes, Bloomington, died at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Jim Gilroy officiating. Entombment will be private at East Lawn Mausoleum, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the memorial home.
Memorials may be made to Shirley Christian Church.
She was born May 29, 1913, in McLean County, a daughter of Rufus and Betty Marie Bowman Fitzgerald. She married Harold R. Smith on Dec. 23, 1933, at Bloomington. He died Jan. 9, 1999.
Surviving are two sons, Harold L. (Beverly) Smith, Shirley, and Ralph E. (Carol) Smith, El Mirage, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Bradley (Sharon) Smith, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mark (Kathy) Smith, Shirley; Greg (Stacy) Smith, Washington; Gary Smith, Shirley; Brian (Lisa) Smith, Heyworth; Keith (Sue) Smith, Bloomington; Kent (Kris) Smith, Heyworth; Tim (Judi) Smith, Bloomington; Tom Smith, Mesa, Ariz.; and Gail (Mike) McNeely, Normal; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Cochran, Bloomington, and Frances Dudgeon, Indianapolis, Ind.; and a brother, Robert Fitzgerald, Bloomington.
Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
