DWIGHT - Edward Burt Fox, 67, of 30228 East 2800 North Road, Dwight, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday (June 9, 2007) at his residence.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight. His funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 11:15 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Odell, with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Loretto.
Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Fox was born March 30, 1940, in Pontiac, to Edward and Mary Humbert Fox. He married Mary Lou Fearman on Aug. 22, 1964, in Loretto. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tamara (Paul) Morris, Minooka; Alicia (Scott) McCallum, Bristol; and Catina Fox, Chatham; four sons, Thomas Fox, Dwight; Timothy Fox, Hendersonville, N.C.; Jamie (Diane) Fox, Bluford; and Nathan (Patti) Fox, Odell, who is currently serving in Iraq; three brothers, Richard (Joyce) Fox, Emington; William (Velta) Fox, San Diego, Calif.; and James Kohler Fox, Iowa City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren, Symone Riegel Fox, Samantha and Ashleigh McCallum, and Kipfer, Tad, Cheyenne, and Charity Fox.
His parents, and one sister, Mary Carol Fox, preceded him in death.
Mr. Fox had served in the National Guard. He was a Catholic and a farmer. His hobbies included hunting, Indian artifact collection, and garage sales.
