She was born June 19, 1913, in Iuka, to Ray Leonard and Bertha Burke Goostree. She married Elliot Aussieker in October 1933 in Crown Point, Ind. He died on Feb. 22, 1985.

Surviving are three sons, Charles (Christine) Aussieker, Bloomington; Dwight (Jane) Aussieker, Varna; and Duane Aussieker, Roanoke; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a half brother, Larry Burns; and a half sister, Delores Moore.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one half brother.

Erma was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke, where she had served in the past with the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Woodford County Home Extension.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Roanoke. The Rev. Bruce Scarbeary will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
