Erma I. Kennedy, 96, of Pontiac, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday (Dec. 11, 2017) at Tjardes Healthcare Center, Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no services. Memorials in Erma’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, is handling the arrangements.
Erma was born July 24, 1921, in Pontiac, a daughter of George and Hetti Lewis Mann. She married Duaine “Doc” Kennedy on June 1, 1946, in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1987.
Erma is survived by one brother, John Mann, Visalia, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Erma was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Mann, and three sisters, Marie Turner, Wilma Holz and Phyllis Albeck.
Erma was educated in Pontiac schools and had worked at Brockton Heel and Nationwide Glove Factory for several years, both in Pontiac.
