CULLOM - Florence P. Price, 94, of Pontiac, formerly of Cullom, died at 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2006) in the ASTA Care Center of Pontiac.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Martin-Burke Funeral Home, 206 N. Maple St., Cullom, with the Rev. Herb Thompson, Pastor of the Cullom United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Cullom.
Visitation for Florence will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the ASTA Care Center Activity Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Florence was born on Jan. 28, 1912, in North Vernon, Jennings County, Ind., a daughter of George Otto and Lettie Spall Imlay. She was educated in Livingston County schools and had attended Saunemin High School. On Oct. 30, 1935, she married Charles William "Charlie" Price in St. John's Rectory at Cullom. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1969.
Surviving are her son, Charles Otto (Barbara) Price, Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; her daughter, Darletta Mae (Glen) Schulte, Bloomington; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her sister, Gladys Elliott, has also preceded her in death.
Florence was baptized in the Church of God in Forrest. For 18 years, she had cooked at the Old Stockade in Cullom. She retired in 1982.
