BLOOMINGTON — Gary Lee Herman, 57, of 1148 11th St., Bloomington, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2005) at VA Illiana Health Care Services, Danville.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Cyndy McBride officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington, with military rites accorded at the cemetery by the Carl S. Martin Post 635 Honor Guard, Normal. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.

He was born June 9, 1948, at Bloomington, the son of Clyde Adam and Hazel Deloris Leininger Herman.
Survivors include his mother, Hazel Herman, Bloomington; two daughters, Candy Herman and Sandy Herman, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Sharon Murphy, Bloomington, and Sheila Herman, Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren, Rachel, Tyler, Hannah and Ethan.
Gary retired from the U.S. Air Force. He had served during the Vietnam War.
